This dude is AMAZING!

Remember the name , Yong, that is Yong, or Yong Hei Fong, Malaysia's hottest talent and Central St Martin's MA graduate. He exhibited at Vauxhall Fashion Scout last September and won the Topshop Womenswear Collection of the Year award. No surprises there. He also seemed like a very humble guy, if I walked past him in the street I would never have guessed that he was in possession of such talent. This collection blends 'luxury sportswear and nautical trends'. Being from the Caribbean I must be drawn to the bright colours and the flattering shapes perfect for curvy or full bootied women - thanks to the flattering draping. I look forward to seeing his future collections.

The Shows; Ashley Isham

My first show and possibly my favourite. The collection was floaty, light and had bold contrasting colours. Plus I was sitting behind a guy with a shiny full head of hair- what more could I have asked for!

The Shows; Bernard Chandran

Love the metallic fabrics and sculptured shapes. Very futuristic. Sienna Miller and Tori Amos are fans so it really appeals to a diverse group!

Tribute to Clerkenwell

SO I was inspired to start this blogg by the amazing opportunity I had to attend some of the LFW shows. However I feel that one of my biggest fashion inspirations has been the amazing area where I've been lucky enough to work for the past two and a half years; Clerkenwell. I have been able to discover the delights of the Sublime boutique which introduced me to some of my favourite brands and designers; Hoss Intropia, Darling, Bolongaro Trevor to mention a few. Then theres the wonderfull Kate Kanzier shoe shop. Not many fashionistas in the have been seen without a Kate Kanzier bag at some point-a fabric shopping bag usually with shoes inside though it also has a great selection of leather bags too.

Welcome

Hey. Welcome to my new fashion blog. So I wanted to call it London fashion geek as I thought that was an accurate summary of me but Google said the name wasn't available so fashion freak was the second best in terms of accuracy. I have an alost freakish obsession with fashion but also don't pretend to be an expert. I have a lot to learn about the fashion world so I hope you enjoy joining me on my discovery of new brands and any other exciting fashion initiatives.
